Phenomenal read. Get it at any price you can; worth every penny — and thus, much, MUCH more if you get it CHEAP…! 😉

    Nice!

Moreover, I have so far seen two different covers for The Exorcist screenplay (here) but have not seen one for Legion. I vaguely recall seeing one on eBay a few years ago, but that was before my interests tilted and became more heavily focused on TNC and Legion, respectively.

Can anyone provide info on what the Legion screenplay book looks like, and how often it appears on eBay?

The only one I’ve seen (and would love to get my hands on..) looks exactly like this, and has both The Exorcist and Legion screenplays.

Yeah, that’s really the only image that should be in that section, but I’ve only been able to come across those two, so I have them listed while searching for the alternative cover.

Edit: I sent a few e-mails out to sellers of the book, asking if they are able to provide images.

Oh yes, Ju! I read the whole book in a couple of hours. 😀 The authors were a little disappointed with the movie, though, because it didn’t have the mystery of whether or not Regan was possessed. And Ellen Burstyn was in shock when Friedkin offered the role to Linda. She said that at the time of screen tests, Linda didn’t know how to act at all. The three finalists were Dana Plato, null

and Linda. Friedkin really wanted Geri, but she had to drop out when her parents balked at the fact that the crucifix scene would be explicitly portrayed on screen. Linda’s parents were very open minded about it.

Hard to imagine anyone but Linda 🙂

“Hard to imagine anyone but Linda”

I guess I’m the only one, but I don’t “see” Linda as Regan. She’s so different from Regan of the novel. I always think of Nicoletta Elmi or Sachi (Shirl’s daughter) as Rags. And Shirley as Chris, of course! 😀 I made a slideshow of Shirley and Sachi and towards the end, I added a picture of The Exorcist novel with them on the cover. If you want to see it, here’s the link:

Awww, very sweet! Do you happen to have any pics of Shirley with WPB? That would be interesting 🙂 Are there more rare pics in that book, guys? It looks really good 🙂

Yeah, I have the original paperback version. Haven’t had the time to read it yet though but I think Sof has.

Ah and Jane, some of the pictures are rare, but they’re too small and dark. 🙁

Ohhh, I have one from an article 🙂 but my scanner isn’t working. 🙁 The article was about Shirley’s adopted daughter who died at the age of three, and how Steve (Shirl’s ex-husband) was pissed off with Blatty for having based The Exorcist novel on them. Especially the subplot about Chris’s son, Jamie, who died when he was three years old too.

Not I, but again I think Sof has.
