    ME? LOL I don’t know everything. 😛 I’d say it was shot back then, it has a certain feel to it that it probably wouldn’t have now.

    HAHA. Thanks, guys. 😛 Cool. Yeah, I ask because it just seems moderately different enough, if you can believe it, that it would be more recent. The first sequence, not the statue close-up, anyway. Either way, I know, “So what, M.I.K.E.!” 😛

    Justy, but you’re one of the experts. When I don’t know something I seek your wisdom, even before Captain So-and-So’s. 😮

    Mike, the footage was definitely shot during the original 1973 production of The Exorcist.

    Yeah it was shot during 1973. Probably just stock footage or insert shots that they really didn’t have any intention of using once the cut had been assembled.

    hmmm…Behind the Scenes footage…I like the way it sounds, folks^_^
    I think you’re right, Ghetto. It could give us the oprotunaty to see through Friedkin’s way of directing and interpeting.

    I agree with Ghetto there. More behind the scenes footage! That is one of the things that I love about the film. The fact that everything was done by hand and no cgi. When I found out about the room being refrigerated over night I thought, wow that is dedication to art! Also agree with the comments about longer Iran sequence. To be honest, I normally miss that bit!

    Well I’ve heard there are hours upon hours of unused Iraq footage. But honestly I’m not sure how exciting that would be to see. I would love to see behind the scenes footage of Freidkin directing the exorcism scenes. Would be really interesting to see Linda Blair to be a regular 12 year old girl in that hideous demonic makeup. Probably would be almost laughable that’s why Freidkin doesn’t want it released. As a fan I say that’s bullshit but as someone who takes the integrity of this film very seriously I say it’s a wise move.
