    Pazrags,

I agree. I’d love there to be a third book. Though in saying that, Legion is such a great sequel because it is so different (and in some ways, not heavily dependent on) The Exorcist. A third book would have to be unique and continue the themes of the past two books, as opposed to the characters.

To satisfy your cravings, have you read “Elsewhere” (from 999: New Stories of Horror and Suspense, ed. by Al Sarrantonio, 1999)? Worth a read…

What is Elsewhere, Ben? I’ve been curious about that ever since it was mentioned. I thought you guys were talking about the Neil Gaiman stories for a while, but what is it about and did Blatty have anything to do with it?

    Greg,

It’s a novella by Blatty (a great one at that), about a haunted house and such. Well worth hunting down. In fact, the whole anthology is great… but I bought it because of Blatty…

Ben speaks the truth, but let me add if I may:

Elsewhere features cameo appearances by a couple of well-known priests in the series, making it a truer sequel (certainly moreso than The Ninth Configuration/TTKK whose astronaut was just an astronaut! 🙂 ) Neither are exorcists nor appearing in any of the sequels. Guess who they are!

Wouldn’t it be great if William Peter Blatty wrote a follow up sequel to legion(or after the feature film exorcist III if you will}? It could be his own trilogy. But what could this sequel be about? Do you all have your own ideas? I would appreciate it what your ideas of a sequel could be?I mean is Pazuzu really gone? Is it still haunting the hospital??
