ParticipantFirst of all, the plot synopsis is filled with misspelled character names (Klien, McNeil) along with other typos. Kinda weird for a Wikipedia page of a major motion picture, but whatever.
Then towards the end of the write-up, there’s this little gem, verbatim:
“Days later the McNeils leave for Los Angeles as they are presumably now wanted fugitives after Karras’s death.”
Huh… really?

KeymasterSigh
I've given up editing that page. Every time I make corrections they get removed or changed right back. There was a time I was adding this website and forum to the 'external links' section but someone kept deleting it. It's a shame, really.

ParticipantWikipedia is a joke anyway. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry can input, revise, remove, etc. anything they want. It started off pretty good in the days of yore, but now it's shit.

ParticipantI realize a plot description cannot extend forever but it is quite haphazardly written and one minute provides events that shape the film and then being extremely vague and sweeping up a huge chunk of the film in a single sentence the next. Considering the amount of extensive information on the page, it wouldn't be a total detriment if the plot was extended by two or three paragraphs to balance out the important progressions of the tale.

ParticipantLet's just dissect the second paragraph that a third grader wrote on Wikipedia for The Exorcist (film) as August 12, 2013:
“In Georgetown, Washington D.C., an actress named Chris McNeil (Ellen Burstyn) notices that her daughter Regan McNeil (Linda Blair) is acting strangely, including constant swearing, abnormal strength and causing her bed to shake. After Dr. Klien (Barton Heyman) fails to solve the problem with Ritalin, Regan is given a few unpleasant operations, but X-rays results prove “negative” much to the confusion of Klien and his fellow doctors. In truth, Regan is now possessed via an Ouija board by Pazuzu, who pretended to be Regan's imaginary friend “Captain Howdy.”

ParticipantI thought there were plans to start our own Exorcist wiki in the works.

ParticipantGood idea. Perhaps we could insert a redirect link to here from the Wikipedia page.
