Great! You’re probably right on about it being the best compliment he could get. To inspire someone, imo, is one of the best things you can do. Because, when you leave this earthly plane, there will be those who continue your work and ideas… I hope I said all that right.

I think I know where I want to go with this. I brewed some coffee and have begun writing. Quite excited!

Did anybody know that beat author William S. Burroughs conducted these experiments?

No, I did not realize Burroughs tried these out! Though it sounds like him – as a “seeker”, he was involved in Scientology for a while…

I started getting into the show “My Name Is Earl” recently, then I discovered the lead character follows Scientology in real life. He seems so cool on TV!

    I’d rather not have known.

Hey, I thought I said this before…. but I’m not sure. In E3, the cell number was 11. Roman numerals 2! For the twins. And two souls. Oddly, in the book, it’s 12…

Great catch, Blizzi. Roman numerals “2” for the twin themes is very appropriate. Also – and this is stretching the point terribly – maybe it could also refer to the fact that Legion was the second, “number two” sequel – officially-from-Blatty – to the original novel. (As I say, it’s a stretch.)

Not too far a stretch 😉

I heard Blatty’s EVP recodings. Very interesting stuff. I made one a few years back and haven’t been able to explain it away.

Hi everyone! Remember that bit of Legion about Amfortas recording the dead? Breakthough by Konstantin Raudive was also mentioned. Konstantin Raudive made recordings of his experiments with EVP’s and I found some of them! whether or not they are real, they’re spooky… http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2006/09/voice_from_the_.html
