    Kindy,

There are two Exorcist sequels so silly and inconsequential, they — not the original 1973 film — are worth your time and energy doing that particular activity. You see, THE EXORCIST, is such a fine film and whatnot, you should either watch it, paying attention, or you shouln’t even bother.

Okay, but I see what you’re saying — “It was fun/scary, M.I.K.E.” Well, maybe so. But just THINK of the fun and frights you could have when you watch the two films that AREN’T worth your full, undivided attention — the two sequels so inane and unbelievably laugh-begging, teenagers in the audience will run their mouths and annoy everyone else (of course, it won’t detract from the viewing experience in the slightest)! Sigh. Yeah. 🙂

If I ever smoke that something-or-other, I will EASILY choose to leave the original 1973 classic undefiled; it deserves better.

“It’s one to grow on.” 😉

    Your pal,

    M.I.K.E.

I can only imagine how great Heretic would be under those circumstances!

But your experience, Kinder, is only creepier when you consider that drugs are supposed to make you more open to possession…..

BTW any of you nerds live in Southern Cali?
I live in Long Beach. It would be a blast to get together with nerds like me… very few people out there appreciate the fact that I know the dialog of “The Exorcist” by heart.
Let me know! we can have Screening Day on Boxing Day! M.I.K.E will bring the Jelly Beans, I’ll bring the bud!
    wooooohooooooo!

But too busy to make the journey south, for the forseeable future. 🙁 Good idea, though. Oh, and me share my jelly bean stash? Please. 😐

    Nah, I’d share. 🙂

People seem to have something against marijuana, yet having a beer or whiskey, or any other alcoholic beverage for that matter is socially acceptable – whatever. Anyway its funny that you mention being in the shower and not wanting to shampoo because of having your eyes closed. The second time I saw The Exorcist, I was 9 years old (1978) and it once again scared me so bad that when I had to shower I refused to wash my hair because I didnt want to open my eyes and see Regan standing there when I opened them, shiver! Ever since then to about 15 years of age, I always had pretty filthy hair because of that, Id wash it about once a month. Amazing what an effect that movie has on people and in so many different ways.

Wow! last time I posted was in 2006! Good to be back and happy to announce that since then I am now making my short films (don’t have the balls to do any Exorcist spoofs though!)and still a hardcore Exorcist fan!
Hope to get familiar with the new members of this forum. I read a couple of posts and it really makes me happy to know that there are other fans out there who truly appreciate this film in all of it’s grandeur!
    Keep on truckin!!

This thread is so funny! It calls for another version of the film: “The Exorcist and Reefer Madness Meet.” I’m sure WB will oblige us! 😉
