Head on over to the Aint It Cool News website (www.aintitcool.com) to see three pics of Dick Smith's makeup process with Linda. Then read the often hilarious talkback comments by the jaded movie geeks that frequently post their comments on that very site. The “Notes from the wife” comment way down at the end is a riot!

    – It wasn't really that scary for me. Yeah, it was disgusting, just not *that* scary.

    – That's Max von Sydow? When was this movie made, 1973?? He's almost as old-looking now as he looked back then!

    – The girl's mom's outfits were really cute!

    – The way the Iraq desert matched Max's beautiful blue eyes (spoken by wife's friend).

    – I prefer the girl when she's possessed, she's kind of annoying when she's normal.

    – (seeing Fr Merrin slumped over on the bed) Wait, he's not dead. Is he??

    – The surround sound in the theatre was amazing. I could hear the bubbling of the girl's fishtank in one scene, and peoples voices all over the place when Karras' friend finds him at the bottom of the steps.

    – When Karras is laying on the bed in the dorm room, and he grabs his friend's arm. They weren't… gay, were they?

    – What'd he say? (at servant Karl's “It wants no straps” line)

    – Aw Jeeeezus! (seeing the shot of Regan's dazed face, right after Karras wipes the green vomit from his mouth)

    – So the second movie, is it any good?

That shot where Smith is applying makeup to Linda through the car window…Isn't that the scene where they bring her home from the clinic?  They went through all that trouble and we never even see her face in that scene.  We see her from behind when Karl carries her into the house.

Blair is wrapped up in the blanket. I'm sure Friedkin used the makeup for alternate shots. Which means there is a LOT of extras wee haven't seen … in time, in time.
