PROMETHEUS, the prequel to ALIEN, directed by none other than the series sire himself, Ridley Scott, returning to the sci-fi genre after a long absence.

The first full on trailer for Prometheus looks amazing.  It very much has the feel of the original 1979 "ALIEN", albeit with even better visual effects (not that ALIEN's was any slouch).

This story takes place some time before the original ALIEN, and it looks every bit as chilling.  I'm not sure quite what the bad guy/creature is in this film, but we do get a brief glimpse of the "space jockey" and the derelict ship from the first film in this trailer.

Listen for the musical howls in this trailer….very much reminiscent of 1979's ALIEN trailers.  :)  I really hope lightning strikes twice for Ridley Scott.
