Listen: original Exorcist radio spots from 1973 vinyl recordings

When it comes to rare Exorcist media we can rely on captainhowdy.com life member Justin to consistently come up with nuggets of gold.

This time we’re privileged to enjoy original vinyl recordings of Exorcist radio spots that went to air in 1973. These come from the earliest part of the films marketing, as evidenced by the voice of the demon being non-existent. Instead, a scratchy Linda Blair eerily bellows “Merrin!” between voiceover segments (very similar to those rare TV Spots)

My personal favorite is the second clip, the one that uses snippets of Chris’ outburst to Father Karras.
